I think that this is the end of the Purple Cactus Plant. It's been nice, but at the end of the day, I'm not really proud of most of these pieces because I haven't put a lot of effort into a lot of them. It's just been "sketch, post, sketch, post" and for what? There hasn't really been any growth in my work. When I look at my site, I cringe - all I see is a mess. The only pictures that I really like are my animal ones - because those ones I actually worked on.

Most of my work is going to be moved into scraps. My favourite outdoors photos will be moved to my other site - which I like much better because I'm putting something of myself into it, because I think that people are responding to it more, that it can be discussed more, because there, behind every picture, is a story. What has grown for me is photography. It really means something to me to do it, and while I'm, by no means, an expert photographer, or even a good one, I feel that there's so much more that I can do with it right now than drawing quick sketches of people and hoping that someone will notice them.

I'm keeping my account active for poodlestick contests, and for fun. But new work and comments will not be posted from here anymore.
